Whether it’s wealth, love, health or happiness, we can use the universe to give us everything we desire when we are aligned with our purpose. Imagine being able to manifest your wildest dreams, your deepest desires, your greatest wishes and change your life for the better with only the power of your mind.

So, what are you waiting for? Put it into practice! How can we use our mind to manifest a reality we desire?

Manifestation will only work when you keep love and respect for yourself, the world and those surrounding you as a priority with harmony as the main motivator.

Otherwise, it can work against us. Even our feelings can have a bigger impact than we think.

Studies Show Not Being Able To See The Milky Way Is Drastically Affecting Our Health

Being able to see the milky way is not as common worldwide as it used to be. Half way through the 20th century the majestic view of the stars started to fade away in more and more places around the world. Today, about 60 percent of Europe and 80 percent of North America can’t see the milky way anymore. The reason for this is called light pollution.

With water and air pollution, the elements that are being polluted are, well, air and water.  With light pollution it is the opposite, since light is the polluter itself. The darkness at night is being reduced by over-illumination.

Light pollution is caused by excessive and misdirected artificial lights that shine upwards instead of downwards, which is where it’s meant to shine.

This results are called sky glow, the excess of electric light scatter and reflect in the atmosphere during the night. In urban areas, the highest levels of light pollution are now being measured.

According to Falchi, an Italian scientist who leads a group that investigates worldwide light pollution, Singapore is the most light-polluted country. The entire population lives under a sky so bright that their eyes cannot fully dark-adapt to night vision.

The consequences of light pollution reach further than the interference with astronomical observations. It interferes with our circadian rhythm and is being seen as a cause for multiple health issues. Light pollution also has a major effect on the ecosystem, especially the nocturnal life.

“For the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: ‘If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?’ And whenever the answer has been ‘No’ for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.” – Steve Jobs Continue reading

What Happens When You Eye Gaze With A Stranger: An Eye Opening Experiment

In a time where nationality trumps humanity, we need to remember to take a step back and realize that the borders have been put up by a bunch of land-hungry xenophobes. We’re told to be scared of what we could find on the other side of a figurative line, and in this we completely forget it is one of our brothers or sisters standing there.

Sp, take all the prejudgments away and strip the interaction down to two people sitting across from each other, simply making eye-contact. The beauty and intensity rises as the window of the soul opens up.  By the simple action of looking into a person’s eyes, feelings mingle in midair while not even one word is being said.shutterstock_387682615

Suddenly you realize, you see yourself in the person in front of you. A fellow human being that functions as a mirror.

A connection is made, while you truly get to see the person in front of you. We tend to look around, do multiple things at the same time. But really seeing and taking the world in, is an ability that gets lost in this fast flow we live in nowadays. Continue reading

The Dolphin Children of The Moken Tribe: How These Kids Learned To See Underwater

The ability to move freely under water is in some ways comparable to flying. The freedom of going up and down and playing around without feeling the weight of gravity, it would feel amazing!

In the waters of the Andaman Sea, we find the Moken tribe who are also known as ‘the sea nomads’. The children of this tribe poses the ability to move so freely under water, so they are being called the dolphin-children!

They enter the waters and swim to great depths. Not only do they have the possibility to sink themselves without weights, they see perfectly clear underwater without goggles. This usually isn’t the case for us, when we open our eyes under water, our vision completely blurs.

Their eyes are completely adjusted to the conditions underwater. When the dolphin-children open their eyes, their irises get smaller and they increase their depth of field.  Also the actual shape of their lens changes, which is called accommodation. This is a similar adaptation to what dolphins do.

The Swedish scientist Anna Gislen travelled to Asia to visit the Moken tribe to do more research about the children’s eyes under water. Besides inspecting the dolphin-children, she wanted to find out if all children have the ability to adapt their sight under water. Continue reading

The Three Dimensions of How We Experience Love

Did you know that Love and happiness are our natural mechanisms for physical and mental healing?

lovehand

In Tibetan medicine and many ancient cultures around the world, is this not a new concept.

Tulku Lobsang wrote a beautiful book about this in which he shares this beautiful wisdom from the Tantrayana Buddhist perspective. (Love & Health. Love is the best medicine) It is saying that all diseases are caused by the mind and because of this; the way to become healthy is through love.

There are three general dimensions of love.

The first one is of the gross mind, which occurs through the senses of feeling good about external things. Next there is love on the subtle level, which is internally generated. And finally, there is love of the great subtle mind, which is absolute Love.

There are four levels of love of the gross mind, all of which he refers to as feeling love: looking love, smiling love, touching love and oneness love.self love

Feeling love is generated through sensory experiences, meaning positive experiences of the five senses. Whatever makes you feel good increases this kind of love. Think of the things we surround ourselves with in our homes, our decorations, clothes, the food we eat and the places we visit to enjoy ourselves. Continue reading
